Experience in front office/reservations between 1-2 years.

Qualification/studies in tourism management/hospitality. Degree of barchelor degree.

Excellent level of English and desirable Spanish and/or French, German.

Dual position where the candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Front Desk operation in order to maintain the high standards required meeting the Company and Guests expectations. Ensuring that all guests are dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner. Implementing fully the credit policy and procedure.

Taking part in the reservation department to deal with telephone, faxes and e-mail reservations and chase of bookings to ensure that maximum occupancy and room rates are achieved. To deliver consistently high levels of
customer service to ensure complete satisfaction of both customers and staff.

Principal tasks of both positions:

-To be aware of the daily availability and daily selling strategy.
-To ensure that switchboard deals with all calls in a friendly and efficient manner, transferring promptly
-To ensure that reception uses the guests name whenever possible and extends a warm and friendly greeting to all guests
-To operate the switchboard, answering and transferring calls as promptly as possible.
-To liaise closely with other departments ensuring that all relevant information is communicated promptly and accurately.
-To liaise in all circumstances with the Front Office Manager and or the Duty Manager ensuring good communication.
-To give accurate information to guests.
-To ensure that the registration cards of all departed guests are filed alphabetically.

-To maintain the smooth running of the Reservations Department and ensure that all calls are handled in an efficient and professional manner.
-To be responsible for selling bedrooms to achieve maximum occupancy.
-To have a thorough working knowledge of Web CRS system and Merlin front office system.
-To enter accurate rooming lists and accounting instructions and ensure that any special requests are followed up and communicated to the relevant departments.
-To communicate efficiently with agents and guests on the telephone, e-mail, fax machine and in person.
-To ensure that all confirmations are carried out in writing using the standard format, all private bookings and any requested corporate reservations.
-To manage the waiting list and ensure that waitlisted bookings are converted should the rooms become available.
-To manage and input group booking reservations in the system and follow standard procedures of group bookings set up by the Reservation Supervisor / Revenue Manager.
-Any other duties as required in assisting the Reservation Supervisor in achieving the objectives and targets for the department.
